Preparation Guidelines
Abdominal ultrasound: 6–8 hour fast
Pelvic ultrasound: Full bladder required
Pregnancy scans: No strict preparation unless advised
ECG: No special preparation
Echocardiogram: No special preparation
HSG: Done after menstruation and before ovulation; mild discomfort possible
X-ray: Remove metallic items; bring previous films if available
