Preparation Guidelines

  • Abdominal ultrasound: 6–8 hour fast

  • Pelvic ultrasound: Full bladder required

  • Pregnancy scans: No strict preparation unless advised

  • ECG: No special preparation

  • Echocardiogram: No special preparation

  • HSG: Done after menstruation and before ovulation; mild discomfort possible

  • X-ray: Remove metallic items; bring previous films if available
